-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for IBIS related patent disclosures:

- None

Call for opens:

- None

Review of previous meeting minutes:

- No July 10 minutes.
- Lance Wang moved to approve the July 03 minutes.
Bob Ross seconded. Without objection the minutes were approved.

ARs:

- Bob Ross to write rules for Table 41.
  - No new bug reports.

New IBISCHK bugs:
- No new bugs.

IBISCHK7 parser development:
- Bob: I will describe a 3 tier process for BIRD189.
  1) File structure of the .ims file and standalone -ims checks.
    - Check the header keywords first, much like -pkg checks.
    - After that there are only a few new keywords.
    - [Interconnect Model] can be checked partially.
  2) [Interconnect Model Group] keyword and links to internal/external [Interconnect Model Set]
    - Simple syntax check plus check for existence of referenced items.
  3) Full checking of [Interconnect Model]
    - For internal, connections to [Pin Mapping], etc.
    - Might be overlapping information.
- Mike: Should we support pin overlap checks at both [Interconnect Model Set]
  and [Interconnect Model Group] levels?
- Bob: We could even perform no checks.
  - We might skip the [Interconnect Model Set] level
- Mike: Some tools might produce only .ims files for a package, no .ibs
  - In that case we might want to fully check .ims files.
- Bob: If we fully screen a .ims file, which can have multiple [Interconnect Model Set]s,
  it can be tricky.
- Mike: Each [Interconnect Model Set] in a .ims file should be checked independently.
- Bob: Agree. Upon finding an [Interconnect Model Set] problem there would be no need to
check at the [Interconnect Model Group] level.
  - We should screen that that level even though sets might be unused.
  - We could check for unused [Interconnect Model Set] at the end.
  - The tier 1 that I started has text from the BIRD.
- Mike: We should give only the essential info, no copied text.

- Bob Ross moved to adjourn. Lance Wang seconded.
  Without objection the meeting ended.

Meeting ended: 11:55 ET
